Hockey for Heroes, a supporting charity of Help for Heroes, who raise money to help support our injured and fallen Heroes, today announces a new kit partnership with Adidas, a global leader in sportswear and performance hockey products.

Adidas will supply a complete range of kit to both the ladies and mens teams including playing kit, bench coats, sweaters and much more. Replica shirts will also be available through retailers who will be announced in the coming weeks.

Earning the right to represent the Heroes team and wear this new kit is no easy task with each team member only being accepted into the team following a tough physical and mental assessment as part of a selection day.

The new kit partnership represents another milestone for Hockey for Heroes and their growth as a charity. It also demonstrates the amazing support the hockey family offers to help support injured veterans to take part in adaptive sports and rehabilitation.

Specialist Sports is managing the kit supply on behalf of Adidas for Hockey for Heroes. Founded in 1992 in the UK, Specialist sports is focused on distribution, sales, and marketing for over 10 adidas performance sports categories.

We are delighted to be able to support such a fantastic charity and hope that the brand will help to generate more shirt sales and ultimately funds for Hockey for Heroes. The charity does some fantastic work through hockey and we hope the players will wear their adidas kit with pride
— Richard Mantell, adidas Hockey

Hockey for Heroes was founded in 2012 and is currently made up of approximately 100 volunteers giving their time both on and off the hockey pitch. Hockey for Heroes was founded in 2012 and has raised over £120,000 for Help for Heroes through various events and challenges to date.

The Hockey for Heroes team continues to undertake tasks that mix a combination of exceptional physical exertion combined with playing hockey. 2018 will see the first ladies squad challenge, with the team completing 8 military exercises and playing 28 games hockey over an 8 day period.  Throughout the tour the squad of 25 will undertake a physical exercise set by a military instructor including log races, assault courses, interval runs and other physical challenges followed by playing up to four games of hockey a day; pushing the ladies to their physical and mental limits.

Great moments are born from great opportunity, this collaboration with Adidas through Specialist Sports is an incredible opportunity for us and we look forward to a long and successful partnership together. Adidas Hockey will ensure we look professional from a brand perspective, allowing us to represent the military in the best way possible
— Joel Forrester, Managing Director, Hockey for Heroes.
